Artist Statement
I am a Crail Based Artist who focuses mostly on Painting the beautiful landscape that surrounds me.
In my time at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, where I graduated in 2017, it was sculpture and photography that best fitted the heartbeat of the city. Upon moving to the harbour town of Crail in the East Neuk of Fife, it was paint that I fell in love with. In my paintings I explore a use of colour and textures, often layering a mix of different mediums such as acrylics, oils, plaster and gold leaf. The gestural freedom of the fluid paint being the perfect way to tell my nautical landscape love story.
